Just finishing up some school work then taking my son to a b day party.  Thank God because it gets him out of the house and playing with some other kids.  Hopefully it tires him out and he'll go to bed early lol.  Just the kind of stuff you look forward to when you have kids. 

Getting lots of studying done today.  Missing class time equals a lot of make up work.  Hopefully I can get it done.  Not a whole lot more to say so that's it for today...

It is rough when it rains all day and you have a little kid to entertain.  There is not much to do, especially nothing to do that is on the inexpensive side.  But I have to say I am excited for my son to start school again.  He starts second grade on Monday and he is very excited.  We went to his school this morning and met the teacher and I got his school shirts that he wears on Friday's.  The teacher seems real nice and I think it's going to be a great year.  And I am so excited for him to be going back.  I have defiantly turned into one of those parents who jumps for joy when the kids go back to school.

I think the Doc 3 assisignment is a good way to sharpin your writing ability.  In other classes they never address who you should be writing to.  This is a good way to use a paper from another class.

I think its pretty cool that we are using APA format.  At first I was a little intimadated because it is totally new to me. It is something that I have never learned before and I think it will be something that will not only help me in my college career but also in my professonal life.  I have not grasped how to use it totally but I do like that we are learning it.  I definalty have to go over my doc 2 assignment and fix a few things but that's to be expected. 

I have to do some work on my Doc 2 assignment.  I have to write a lot more about it for one thing which is kind of hard when I pretty much summed it up already.  I don't want to just add fluff to it so I am going to have to dig deep and try to make it sound good.  I think I can get it done though so I'm not too worried about it.  I just have to have a quite house to do it in. 

I am going to blog about how I think should not have to learn about all the things I have to learn in Medical Terminology.  The reason for this is because I am going for the PTA program.  In Medical Terminology we are learning about the veins and the heart and all kind of other stuff that in my opinion that dosen't really concern physical therapy.  I should be learning about muscles and bones the whole time.  I understand that this is not realistic but I just wanted to blow off some steam.  

So being how I can write about anything I want.  I'm going to write about persueing a degree at South University.  I have to enroll in my fall classes but today that is not going to happen.  The reason is my son is home and I have to get back to pick him up from my mom's house.  He is off from summer came and in 3 weeks he will start second grade.  Hopefully I can get to school tomorrow and enroll.  Balancing school, work, and kids can be tough.

I think my referenced document does a good job addressing it's reader and it's thesis.  It explains what the flipped classroom is from a stand point of someone who has never heard of the concept.  It gives examples of how it has worked and why.  It also gives an example of how it would not work. All an all I think it was a good article.

After reading different articles and trying to decide which one I want to use for my annotated bibliography I have changed my mind on the flipped classroom.  At first I thought it sounded like some sort of fad. Now I can see that especially in today's technology driven world it makes a lot of sense.  I think that having the ability to access the lecture whenever you need it can ultimately help a lot of students get a better grade in the class. Also it can free up the teacher to have more one on one time with the students. I guess it's been a long time since I have been in school and I have to get with the times.

The flipped classroom.  What can I say about the flipped classroom? I must amit at first I didn't really care for the idea.  Now I can see that it can be a valuable way of teaching.  Instead of spending the whole class lecturing now you can spend valuable class time doing exercises and watching the lectures in the convenience of  home.

The flipped classroom technique.  I think the flipped classroom is an ok theory but not my favorite.  I honestly prefer a more traditional approach.  I think listening to a lecture and being able to ask questions as I hear it would be better than watching a video and then trying to remember any questions you have to ask the next time class meets.  But that's just my opinion and I realize that it's a very popular idea and works for many people. 

What I learned doing Doc 1 was the proper APA format.  How to use Google drive to make suggestions for other people's papers.  Also I beacame fimilar with working in a group and not having to be in the same place to do the project.

There are some things about writing in a group that are good and some things that are not.  A good thing is that it breaks down the work load and divides it among the group members.  One thing that is bad is that inevabally some group members are gonna end up doing more work than others. All and all I think working in a group is good because it brings different perspectives to the project.

Today I have to make sure that my doc 1 assignment is ready to be turned in.   So far I just have to put the references in.  After that I think that it will be done. That's all for now. 

Just got back from doing a lil fishing.  Trying to see what the plans are for tonight.  I might just finish up my doc 1 project so I can relax all Sunday.  It's pretty much done anyway so it wouldn't take long.  Well I gotta go get something to eat so I'm gonna end it here.

I have still to really to corect some changes to my doc 1 assisnment.  I guess I'm still wrapping my head around how I want to reword certain things.  I'm going to get with my group and see what other people suggestions are.

Well I'm finding it hard to come up with something to say today.  For one thing I'm running on just a few hours of sleep and I am majoraly dragging.  Maybe the candy I just ate will pick me up lol.  I could talk about how I spent my weekend.  Myself and a couple of friends along with my son went dirt biking and 4 wheeling so that was fun.  Other than that I studied for my Medical Terminology test which I'm hoping went well. Well that's it for me lol.

The subject of the Doc 1 assignment "cyber impressions" is a good one I think.  It is definitely something that you need to be concerned with in today's social media driving world.  Any kind of future employer's or anyone else for that matter can just Google your name or look you up on Facebook. In a matter of seconds they can form an opinion of you and it may not be warranted.  Therefore people should be aware of the content they put out on the internet.

Hello I am  writing to you today to dicuss "writing to learn."  When I think about this concept the first thing that comes to mind is how someone learns to write.  One of the first things we learn as children is the alphabet.  After we learn how to form basic words and then how to put them into senteces.  So reading and writing is a way to pass along information.  Basically someone could pass along information to someone without being present.

This my second post.  I'm here trying to study for my medical terminology test tomorrow and I needed a break.  that is all...
